My Top 3 Disney Resorts on a Budget

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t regularly crunch the numbers to try and find a way to slip slide down to the World. These days prices are steep if you want to pay a visit to the House of Mouse, especially if you want to stay on property. But fear not, if you are willing to be flexible on the dates of travel you CAN find great deals on Walt Disney World hotels.

Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter Resort

This resort is considered a “moderate” category resort meaning it doesn’t fall into the cheapest category on property but I would argue that you can very similar amenities to a Deluxe resort on this property. The design of the French Quarter feels as if you are taking a stroll down a quiet New Orleans street. The property offers a boat that can take you to and from Disney Springs which is a huge bonus since the night life and shopping there is amazing. The food on the resort is also fantastic, Sassagoula Floatworks offers southern comfort food staples in a quick service venue. Another bonus of this resort is the accommodations feel larger in size than most Disney hotel rooms. This is a great resort to keep in mind when looking for a great on-property resort!

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Now, I realize that at the time I am writing this post this resort is undergoing significant updates and construction so keep that in mind if you are looking to book ASAP. This is another “moderate” category resort but is often overlooked or considered to be a convention center resort so it is often overlooked by Disney guests, meaning, you can find great deals if you are willing to look! Coronado Springs is set on a gorgeous private lake called Lago Dorado and is decorated in quaint Spanish style. Rooms here are solid in size similar to the French Quarter. There is a Mayan-style main pool that and quiet hidden pools if you prefer to sneak away after a day in the parks. This resort is also home to Rix’s which offers satisfying libations unique to this bar alone.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Of the value resorts, this is the newest claim to fame in the category. Art of Animation is a fantastic resort for all ages but especially for families with little ones. This resort offers family style suites for those that require multiple bedrooms and don’t want to break the bank to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. You can even hear music under water at The Big Blue Pool on property. Landscape of Flavors is a solid quick service option on property with choices to satisfy everyone in the family and the Drop Off Pool bar is your spot to grab an adult drink while the kids cool off in the pool. Keep in mind that this resort is very popular and does book quickly!
