I’m rolling into my mid-twenties and am to the point where the stylists at Sephora start sliding anti-aging skin care regimens in my direction. For someone whose get ready routine involves the bear minimum amount of products, I am not ready to throw down $100+ for some gel with flecks of gold even if it might make me look 19 forever. Then my sister discovered the brand Ordinary. I’ll admit I was skeptical at first since the prices began at $10-12 per item and were primarily oil based depending on what you chose, but I saw her skin really begin to glow-up. My sister never used to want to leave the house without makeup but now she rocks her bare skin more often than not. I was inspired. I’d love to cut my already only 14 minute routine down and skip makeup when I want to.
The website is super helpful and offers regimen guides to cater to every skin type or skin goal. I have oily skin primarily but some redness and dry patches that flare up in the Ohio winters (yay). I ordered 3 different products and I think my total reached around $30 ish dollars and qualified for free shipping which was another solid benefit. I ordered my products based off of the regimen for dehydration so I ended up with the Hyaluronic Acid 2% and 100% Plant Derived Squalene. I also added Virgin Marula Oil to my cart and Borage Seed Oil since that one was recommended for those with redness.
I’m about two months into using their products and I’m mostly hooked. The only reason I say mostly is that the oils can build up on your skin if you don’t regularly exfoliate or use a face brush like a Clarisonic. My skin used to be fairly rough and had some textural irregularities but feels much more soft and supple after adding this to my routine. I’m definitely interested in checking out a few of their other regimens as well. I also love that this brand is VERY budget friendly and the lower prices allow you to sample many of their products. I would recommend this routine as more of a winter time maintenance rather than year round and will check out another regimen for the warmer months.
I’d love to hear anyone suggestions of other skin care products that you’re in love with!
